MY STORY

Hey, my name is Billy and I am a freelance photographer specialising in live music and events.

For as long as I can remember I have had some form of camera in my hand, whether that be a DSLR, mirrorless camera, point and shoot or even my mums old Sony Ericsson w705. So, when I came to deciding what to do in college the choice was easy. After doing my level two, level three, level three extended and first year HNC I felt more than prepared to start my career in concert photography.

Deciding to follow on with concert photography was just as easy of a decision. music has always been a part of my life. Concerts are where I feel most at home from big artists to small hometown artists, from big arenas to underground venues I will always be there screaming the words like my life depends on it!

Growing up I was always the quiet kid in class usually finding the world around me boring or mundane. But when I started college and began expressing myself through my work it opened a side of me that I did not know existed. Soon enough I was expressing myself with piercings and dying my hair every colour you can imagine experimenting with different alternative styles. Nowadays I may not have the chameleon hair, but I am still part of the alternative scene, especially musically and I would never have discovered that side of myself without the art.

I have always been a creative person and photography lets me share that with the world from small family moments to sold out arena shows I will keep expressing my art in the way I love, this is more than a hobby it is my passion, my way of expression in a world of normality.
